The traditional living nativity scene in Castiglion Fiorentino is once again coming to life for Christmas 2024, keeping the magic of this ancient tradition alive. As usual, the nativity scene will take place in the town centre on Boxing Day, December 26.
The itinerary, which starts in Piazza San Francesco, leads visitors to discover the most evocative and characteristic corners of Castiglion Fiorentino, immersing them in a magical atmosphere that seems to take them back in time.
About a hundred extras perform the most iconic scenes of that period: craftsmen at work, shepherds, peasants, Herod's palace, the Roman camp, the Three Wise Men, ancient trades and centuries-old traditions, all the way to the Nativity hut.
Along the way, it will be possible to buy local specialities such as ciacce, mulled wine and chestnuts, enriching the visitors' sensory experience.
Admission to the living Nativity Scene is by donation, so all participants can contribute to the preservation of this fascinating tradition.
